LIGHTING

Fluorescent Lamp Information Average Life (Hours) Rated lamp life is based on a 12-hr. start (unless noted otherwise). Taken from a statistically large sample, it measures the length of time from first use to the time when 50% of tested lamps have died. Individual lamp life increases and decreases depending upon how often it is turned on and off—the less a lamp is turned on and off, the longer the life.

Color Temperature Light gets progressively whiter and accents more of the blue end of the spectrum as color temperature (CCT) increases. Low-temperature 3000K warm lamps shed a soft light that high- lights reds, yellows, and browns. 3500K lamps are generally neutral and highlight no particular color. High-temperature lamps of 4100K, cool and up highlight progressively more blues, greens, and grays.

GE Ecolux® Low Mercury (ECO) A term for GE lamps that have reduced mercury content (5mg or less) and pass the Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) test. The TCLP test, specified in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) of 1990, is used to characterize fluorescent lamp waste as hazardous and nonhazardous.

GE Specification Series Deluxe (SPX) Colors Energy-efficient, all-purpose tri-phosphor fluorescent lamp colors provide better color rendering than Specification Series (SP) colors. The CRI for SPX colors is 80 or above and varies by lamp type.

GE covRguard® (CVG) A special plastic shielding on the outside of tubular fluorescent lamps effectively contains shattered glass particles if lamp is broken. Such safety protection is mandated in many industries and locations, e.g. food packaging.

GE Watt-Miser® (WM) A term used by GE to indicate a reduced-watt- age lamp with performance characteristics (life, light output, etc.) such that it can usually directly replace a higher-wattage product. Watt-Miser lamps are available in a wide range of lamp types.

GE High-Output/Very High- Output (HO/VHO) Lamps Designation for lamps generating more light than standard lamps.

GE T8 Starcoat® Ecolux® Lamps (SPP and SPX) Provide more light over life: 94% to 95% lumen maintenance. Enhanced color rendering is available in 700 and 800 series. High system efficiency, relative to T12, delivers significant energy cost savings. TCLP compliant.

GE Starcoat® Ecolux® XL Extra- Life and SXL Super Same great features of the T8 Starcoat® Ecolux® with up to 86% longer life than standard SPP T8 lamps.

GE ULTRA ENERGY SAVING T8 LAMPS

2-Ft. and 3-Ft. T8 Watt-Misers®

Energy-saving alternative to standard 2-ft. and 3-ft. T8 lamps. Deliver up to 12% energy savings versus standard F17T8 and/or F25T8 lamps. Excellent color rendering. TCLP compliant, lowering disposal costs where applicable.

4-Ft. T8 25 Watt Lamp Lowest wattage 4-ft. T8 currently available. Longer rated life at 84,000 hr. depending on ballast type and burn cycle. Operates on any ANSI compliant T8 Instant Start or Programmed Start ballast; also approved on GE UltraStart® PRS ballast. Excellent color rendering. TCLP compliant.

T8 28W UltraMax®
